Video: You'll be happy to know that Graduation plans are here!

Hi Seniors!

As ASB president, I am so excited to share with you our plans to celebrate our graduating class. This is not the way I dreamed of ending my high school experience and I wish it could be different. But despite our circumstances and limitations, we are persevering in honoring our graduates this year. I am happy to announce the FOUR exciting ways we are going to celebrate the Granada Class of 2020!

01. LAWN SIGNS: Every senior will receive a Granada Class of 2020 lawn sign to display in your yard or window! These signs will be distributed soon and our hope is that these signs will be a reminder that while we may be apart, we are not alone. So display yours with pride!

02. SENIOR BOXES: We are going to distribute our Cap and Gowns and diploma covers in a special, commemorative box. Details about the distribution of our senior boxes will be available soon.

03. DIGITAL TIME CAPSULE: We are launching a digital time capsule where EVERY senior, our teachers AND your parents can upload videos to watch and to share on your own social media channels! You will be able to browse all of the videos and see all our classmates in one digital platform. The school will email you with a link to upload your own video to your school email address so remember to check your email!

04. VIRTUAL CEREMONY: Finally, I want to invite all of you to the Virtual Commencement Ceremony for the Granada Hills Charter Class of 2020! From the comfort of your own home, you will be able to watch the ceremony on our website and tweet your comments and photos! The virtual ceremony will begin Thursday, June 4 in the evening.

Since we can’t be together on that special night, I want each and every one of my fellow seniors to know that we miss you and we love you. While our virtual ceremony is not a substitute because nothing can replace this moment in our lives, it is important for us to still celebrate our accomplishments and commemorate this important achievement of finishing the 12th grade. I will “see” you then and stay tuned for more details and updates on Granada’s social media and email.

Love you, guys!
