Advanced Placement (AP)

Why Take the AP Exam?
Taking the Advanced Placement exam is an important part of the AP experience and is an opportunity for students to demonstrate how well they have mastered the skills and content of these courses. Granada Hills Charter strongly encourages every student enrolled in an AP course to take the associated College Board exam at the end of the course in May. Scoring well on an AP exam can earn students college credit and placement, potentially saving a significant amount on college tuition. Please click here to search for your college or university's policy on AP course credit and placement.

Taking an AP Class at GHC this Year? Take the Exam for No Charge
For students who are enrolled in Advanced Placement courses this year, Granada Hills Charter is covering exam registration fees - there will be no cost to students for these exams if registered by October 31, 2020. There is no limit on the number of exams each student may take, but students must be enrolled in the AP or IB course to be eligible. We hope this will alleviate some of the financial and academic stress and uncertainty that many of our students and families are experiencing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the College Board is waiving all cancellation fees this year.
