AP Exam Ordering

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Granada Hills Charter High School encourages all students to take the AP exams for AP classes that they have taken. Scoring well on an AP exam can earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.

For the 2020 AP exams, students currently enrolled at GHCHS will be ordering and paying for exams online. This process will take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access.

Dear Granada Families,
Taking the Advanced Placement (AP) exam is an important part of the AP program. If your student is currently enrolled in an AP course, Granada Hills Charter strongly encourages him/her to take the associated College Board exam at the end of the course in May. Earning a qualifying score on an AP exam can often qualify students for college course credit and/or placement in higher level college courses. Starting this year, students must register online with the College Board using an AP Classroom Join Code provided by their teacher. Please be informed that all Join Codes are secured, and students are prohibited from disclosing or sharing their Join Codes with persons not enrolled in their AP class. Granada Hills Charter students will be submitting payment for AP exams online via Total Registration, an authorized exam registration agent. The GHC Total Registration portal opened on September 15, 2019, and will close on November 3, 2019. Please click here to get to Total Registration AP Exam Ordering.
To avoid late charges and the risk of your AP exam registration being cancelled, please make a firm decision to order your exam(s) and make full payment in Total Registration before midnight on November 3, 2019. Fees will be assessed for cancelled or unused exams, and there will be no refunds.
For the 2019-20 school year each AP exam costs $100; each AP Capstone Seminar or Research exam costs $150. Granada Hills Charter is pleased to be able to offer students currently qualified for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) the exam fee of $5 per exam. Students and families may apply for the school lunch program at the cafeteria office. By indicating during the online exam ordering process that the student is eligible for the reduced exam fee, the student and his/her family are deemed to have consented in writing to the school’s access to NSLP information for the purpose of verifying such eligibility.
If your student is not currently enrolled in an AP class, GHC recommends that he/she reaches out to his/her academic counselor to receive more information on the many AP courses offered here on our campus. Students not currently enrolled in the AP course but wishing to take the exam must either email Ms. Janie Dam, Testing Coordinator, at jdam@ghctk12.com or go to the Testing Office (room F10) to receive their AP Classroom Join Code.
